Hi Jane,

How are you? Have you got any news? I’m so happy you`re coming to visit me. I want you to have a great time here. My parents and I are going to collect you from the Barcelona airport, so you don’t have to take a bus. We are going to wait you in the gate.

You’ll need about 150€ for a weekend. We are going to Barcelona to see some buildings made by Anthony Gaudi. He is a famous Catalan architect. Then, we are going to visit the Camp Nou, the stadium of Barça team. We are going to a shopping centre to buy some clothes, I know you love it. We aren’t going to any restaurants, my mum is going to cook and I want you to taste some Spanish meals.

The weather here is being fantastic, so take your warm clothes. If it isn’t, I’ll lend you some of my clothes.  The last day, we’ll go to the cinema if it rains. If it’s a sunny day, we will go to the beach to go for a walk with my family.

Postcard from Los Angeles

Hi Nerea!
I'm writing to you to explain what I'm doing on my holiday.

Yesterday morning, I had lunch in a restaurant near the hotel and the food was plain, anything special. The weather is being fantastic! It's sunny and a little hot that's way I went to Venice beach and I swam on the sea. Then, I went to see Beverly Hills.

Today, I'm going to visit the Chinese Theatre, after that, I'm going to have lunch in any restaurant from Los Angeles. In the afternoon, I'm going to see the stars of the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, meanwhile I hang around and I buy some clothes. For dinner, I'm going to the restaurant of the hotel and then, I'm going to a party. Tomorrow, I'm going to the Universal Studios Hollywood to watch the movie studio and to have fun in the theme park with my friends. Eventually, I'm going to have a sun bath in Santa Monica beach and to buy some souvenirs from California.
This city is so amazing!

The Peacock

I’ve chosen this animal because is the cutest one I’ve never seen in my life.

The peacock is a bird in the family of turkeys. This animal has got special big feathers. They are colorful usually blue, green and white if it is male. And if it is female, they are white, grey and blue. They eat seeds, fruits, plants, vegetables, insects and frogs. Furthermore, they live in southern Asia, in woods; some people also believe that Alexander the Great introduced this animal in Europe. In Spain some farmers raise peacocks to sell or eat. Most are in zoos or wildlife parks where they live freely.

I think that those animals are beautiful but they are too big to buy one.

The Chinese Theatre is a movie theater on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood Boulevard in California. It has been home to many premieres and three Academy Awards ceremonies.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame consists of more than 2,400 stars embedded in the sidewalks along fifteen blocks of Hollywood Boulevard in California. The stars are permanent public monuments, showing the  names of many actors, musicians, and others.

Santa Monica Beach

Santa Monica is a beach city in  Los Angeles.  Santa Monica is home to executives and Hollywood celebrities and  a mix of rich, surfers, young professionals, and students. In that place you can go shopping, play some sports and swim in the sea.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood is a movie studio and theme park in  Los Angeles  It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood movie studios. Firstly created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios soundstages and sets.

One of the worst day of my life

All started when I woke up in the early morning. I saw a light in the hall, I got out of my bed to turn off the light. I looked for my parents, but they weren't in their bedroom, my brother was there and  my cousins were sleeping in my brother's bed. I heard a noise and my cousin's grandmother came. She told me to go to sleep. I did it. When I got up, my parents told me that my grandfather had died at dawn. I spend all the day with my other grands. That day was the worst of my life.
